The Bandol vineyards

Bandol is a French wine from the designated region of Provence vineyards around the city of Bandol, in the Var region. Considered one of the best red wines of Provence, it owes its reputation to a microclimate that is well-suited to the Mourvèdre grape variety, producing powerful, robust and very long-lasting wines. The Bandol appellation also produces a large percentage of rosé wines (64%) and a small amount of white wines (up to 5%).

Wines of Bandol

With an area of 1480 hectares, the terroir of the Bandol Appellation is concentrated on 8 Var towns: Bandol, Le Beausset, Le Castellet, La Cadière d'Azur, Saint Cyr-sur-Mer, Sainte Anne d'Evenos, Sanary-sur-mer and Ollioules. Sheltered by the Sainte Baume mountains to the north, which rise to 1147 meters, the Bandol vineyards descend in terraces towards the sea in a wonderful range of wooded hills.

House of Bandol wines

In a natural amphitheater, the Bandol vineyards are on terraces covering about 1,600 hectares. While sharing passion and respect for the Appellation and the terrain, each Bandol wine shows the character of the different winegrowers. To appreciate the Bandol wine is to meet those who every day create these local treasures.

Cellars and wineries

The winemakers who belong to the Association 'Les Vins de Bandol' have come together to showcase the Bandol wines that they each grew and matured in their cellars. You will find them all in this region available for you to taste.
